SGP.32 and the future of IoT – revolution or false dawn?
Information
SGP.32 was launched with great fanfare and positioned as the breakthrough that would reshape eSIM provisioning. By eliminating vendor lock-in and addressing the limitations of SGP.02 and SGP.22, it promised global, scalable and flexible IoT connectivity.
But two years later, the jury is still out on SGP.32’s impact.
The new modular architecture has made fleet-wide eSIM management more practical and future-proof, but adoption is uneven. Enterprises still face hurdles from auditing connectivity costs and risks to adapting to evolving networks and ensuring multi-carrier flexibility. SGP.32 may have created the conditions for transformation, but it has not yet made them universally accessible.
This session will examine where SGP.32 is driving genuine change, where barriers remain and how enterprises can unlock its full potential. Attendees will leave with a clear-eyed view of whether SGP.32 has fulfilled its promise or if the real transformation is yet to come.
