Information

In this digital age it’s easy to overlook the importance of analogue signal processing and the technological advances within this area. Most signals start out in the analog domain before being digitised, so we’ve highlighted several key parts that offer tangible benefits. As well as the obvious specifications such as lower noise or lower power consumption, there are always new features to be aware of; including RFI immunity, which is increasingly important in this RF-noisy world The NL6012 is the most accurate operational amplifier Nisshinbo has ever produced, achieving an input offset voltage of 10µV max and an offset voltage drift of 0.05µV / °C max. Since the effect on the sensing system can be minimized by accurately amplifying and processing electrical signals, design time and cost associated with the accuracy aspect of the instruments are reduced. A zero-drift operational amplifier features a low input offset voltage with excellent stability over temperature variations. The NL6012 achieves high accuracy by modulating the DC offset component, shifting it to a higher frequency, and cutting it off – this is called a chopper-stabilized architecture. This cancels the input offset voltage and the temperature drift. In particular, the stability over temperature is an important characteristic in product design and manufacturing processes, as it is difficult to correct with a microcontroller. Low Input Offset Voltage: 10μV max. Zero-Drift: 0.05μV / °C max. Low Consumption Current: 15μA / ch Rail-to-rail Input and Output Internal EMI Filter (EMIRR 80dB+ above 200MHz) Operating Temperature Range: -40°C to 125°C
