PoE - USB-C Controller Module - New Product Range!!

USB-C power delivery from a PoE source, an exciting addition to Silvertel’s range of power management modules. Silvertel has introduced the latest addition to their innovative and extremely cost-effective power management modules – the Ag401. A complimentary technology to our extensive PoE family of modules, Silvertel is introducing a brand new concept design; a PoE PD to USB-C PD converter. The Ag401 is an entry-level embedded product which allows designers to combine access to high power PoE, 100m reach and the increasingly popular USB-C interface. The Ag401 is fully IEEE802.3bt compliant and presents the PoE ID and Signature as a Class 8 Powered Device (PD), requesting up to 70W of power from a connected PSE switch or injector. The Ag401 output is fully-isolated providing 1.5kV Impulse Protection and is USB-C PD Rev 3.1 V1.2 compatible, delivering 3.3V to 20V as required by the USB-C standard at 60W to charge or power the host device directly. The Ag401 is also equipped with an additional Auxiliary +5V, 10W output derived from a high-efficiency DC-DC Converter with which to power a media controller or similar processor device. Designed and Manufactured in the UK, the Ag401 is available in a 16-pin Dual-in-line (DIL), through-hole format requiring very few, low-cost external components to construct a PoE-to-USB-C compliant, data and power-delivery solution.
