Rapid/Prototype Tooling

Create prototypes for testing and bring your products to the market more quickly with rapid tooling at BEC Group. By reducing the time it takes to produce a tool with rapid tooling, timelines typically decrease too. This process is particularly beneficial for proof of concept and to allow testing of parts to be carried out before large scale production starts. In addition to reducing timelines, rapid tooling also involves utilising technologies such as 3D printing or producing single cavity tools as opposed to multi cavity tools to allow for quick iteration and testing at a lower cost. Unlike other manufacturers, BEC uses P20 steel for all our mould tools- rapid or not. This ensures the longevity and strength of the tools over time. It also means we can adapt prototype tools for traditional production if required.
