Prototype Projects is a UK-based prototyping and low-volume manufacturing bureau, supporting product development teams since 1980. Based in Royston, Hertfordshire, we work with engineers and designers across electronics, medical, aerospace, automation and consumer products to turn concepts into tangible parts quickly and reliably.

We offer a fully integrated suite of in-house services: CNC machining (milling, turning and multi-axis), SLA, SLS, DLP and micro 3D printing, vacuum casting, injection moulding, laser cutting, model making, and paint finishing and assembly.

For hardware teams building the next generation of smart and connected products, we're a trusted partner at every stage of development. Whether you need a single machined enclosure, a small batch of vacuum cast housings that simulate injection moulded engineering plastics, or 3D printed structural prototypes for fit and function testing, we have the processes and the experience to deliver.

Our 3-day CNC machining service and overnight 3D printing options mean that fast iteration doesn't have to mean compromise on quality. All work is produced in-house, giving you full visibility and a single point of contact from quote to delivery.
